This is the first of 4 projects funded by a grant through Rotary International.  This project built on the success and momentum of nearby the project in Comedero. The population traditionally works in agriculture or factories in the nearby Castro Del Rio industrial park. Water conservation here is paramount because there is only one well and it supplies water to the community twice a week for a two hour shift. There are no paved roads, drainage, or public school beyond elementary school.  The cooperative of women running this project call themselves Las Guerreras of aquaponics and have really attacked their project in a way that has inspired new hope in their community.
