This community marks the third Rotary International project and was installed in partnership with the Utah State University Rotaract Club. Mesa De Chosto has some basic municipal services including some paved roads and drainage.  The funding for these basic services came at the cost of political votes and corruption which has left many of the homes without any governmental support and deteriorating adobe homes.  This project is located right next to the secondary school and has been a source of income and nutrition for the most impoverished in the community, as well as a demonstration site for students of the school to come and learn about gardening, fish husbandry, and basic chemistry.
